Les Mimos, as they are affectionately known as one of the oldest and most famous clubs on the African continent. ASEC is headquartered in Abidjan, the largest city in Côte d'Ivoire. Founded in 1948, the Ivorian club is arguably one of the most dominant clubs in the West African country. Unbeknownst to many, the Mimosas also hold the franchise's longest unbeaten streak in a domestic league. The ASEC played an incredible 108 games between 1989 and 1994, setting an astonishing record that has yet to be broken. In 1994, they lost to rival SO de l'Armée, ending their remarkable league unbeaten run.

The Romanian giants hold one of the longest unbeaten streaks in the league, with an incredible 104 unbeaten streak in the four years from June 1986 to September 1989. During this period, they won 4 league titles and also won all 15 Romanian Cup games they played in during that time, continuing their dominance as the best club team in Romania.
3. Lincoln Red Imps FC – 88 games
Lincoln Football Club is a Gibraltar club founded in 1976. Lincoln is one of the island nation's best teams, winning numerous domestic league and cup titles. They also have one of the longest league unbeaten streaks in the world, with an impressive 88-match unbeaten run between 2009 and 2014. This impressive feat took place between 9 May 2009 and 19 September 2014 as they lost a game in the Gibraltar Premier League. It lasted 1,959 days, the longest league unbeaten streak in chronological order.
4. Esperance Sportive de Tunis – 85 games
Tunisia Esperance is one of the most popular clubs in the football-mad North African country. Easily recognisable by its red and gold striped jersey, the Tunis-based club is one of the most respected and feared teams on the continent. Domestically, The Blood and Golds are virtually unbeatable, winning numerous league and cup titles. Esperance also has a long undefeated record to his name. From 1997 to 2001, they went 85 games without a loss, cementing their legacy as one of the best teams in the land.
5. Al Ahly SC – 71 matches
The Egyptian powerhouse is one of the greatest clubs in the Pharaoh kingdom. They also play in one of Africa's top football leagues. Apart from being one of the most popular clubs in Egypt, the Cairo-based club boasts an impressive unbeaten record. El Mared El Ahmar was undefeated 71 games in a row from 2004-2007. This feat is especially admirable given the level of competition in the North African country.
