The golden boot race for the ongoing 2021/2022 premier league campaign is still very much alive, and as such, a lot of goals is expected to be scored from now till the end of the season.
But, so far so good, the race has been quite exciting, we've seen a lot of surprises, and so many stupendous goals scored this season. At the moment, the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Diogo Jota, Son Heung-Min are currently in the race but, all three trail to Mohamed Salah who is currently occupying first position with 22 goals.
But, yesterday, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a stupendous goal against Arsenal. The goal he scored took him above, Diogo Jota on the log. So because of that, I've decided to put up this article to highlight the current golden boot table after all games were played yesterday.
1. Mohamed Salah: The first player player on the list is Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian plays for Premier League giants, Liverpool. This season, Mohamed Salah has established himself as one of the most prolific attackers in the Premier League. Till this moment, the total number of goals he has scored is 22. As such, all odds are in his favour to emerge as winner of this season's edition of the golden boot award.
2. Son Heung-Min: Yesterday, Son Heung-Min failed to add to his goal
tally when his side played against an in-form Brentford side. The game
ended 0-0, and as such, he is still occupying second position with 17
goals in 30 appearances.
3. Cristiano Ronaldo: before yesterday's game against Arsenal, Ronaldo was occupying third position with 15 goals. But, after scoring against the gunners, he increased his goal tally to 16.
4. Diogo Jota: Lack of playing time has hindered Diogo Jota from scoring goals in the last few weeks. Since the arrival of Luis Diaz, it has been hard for him to make the starting line up. On that note, he is still occupying fourth position with 15 goals in 29 appearances.
5. Sadio Mane (14 goals in 29 appearances)
