Zwane Reacts to His Side's Loss against Stellenbosch - It’s Unacceptable for a Club Like Chiefs / Newhitzgh

Kaizer Chiefs coach Arthur Zwane has reacted to the club's loss against Stellenbosch FC. Amakhosi suffered a 1-0 defeat away from the Stellies on Saturday evening.

The club missed the opportunity to climb to the third place in the log standings above Cape Town City who were not in action this evening.

Deano Van Rooyen's first half goal was enough for the Stellies to collect maximum points.

Speaking after the game, Zwane gave credit to the coach of the opposition side Steve Barker for the good job he has done at the club.

Zwane was in charge of the team for the first time since the departure of Stuart Baxter in mid week and he was welcomed with a defeat.

The coach admitted that the game was interesting to watch.

Zwane said his side conceded the goal in a very strange manner and he insisted that his side were prepared for that because they knew that they are playing against a team that have very explosive players going forward.

Zwane said his side started with three in the back because they wanted to nullify the aggressiveness of the opponents.

He added that it was unfortunate for his side to concede from a corner and they were bit open and Stellenbosch managed to punish them.

The coach believes that although his side showed some good signs, they did not do enough to enter the final third.

"For a team of Kaizer Chiefs calibre, we need to create chances each and every game we play," he said.
